Confidence Level:

Confidence Level
The confidence level tells you how confident you can be with the sample data.  Most researchers use the 95% confidence level.

Margin of Error
The margin of error is a statistic expressing the amount of random sampling error in your results. The larger the margin of error, the less certainty you have that the results from the sample reflect the whole population.  A typical margin of error is anywhere from 3% to 5%.

Population Size
Population size is the total size of the group that your sample represents.

Sample Size
The larger your sample size, the more confident you can be that the results will reflect the whole population.
